The Kurja Polt 2019 genre film festival brings to Kinodvor and Slovensko kinoteka again this year selected film genre masterpieces that you don't want and shouldn't miss. The title of this year's retrospective is Freaks, and it brings overlooked pearls, cult classics that are more than welcome in the dark skin. And, of course, exhibitions, conferences and workshops, which will be in the spirit of serious theoretical reflection.
Society Whore complexion will be in cooperation with Cinematheque and Cinema prepared Genre Film Festival 2019, on which moviegoers will see the overlooked and forgotten genre masterpieces, which the festival organizers want to rehabilitate and place on regular repertoire domestic cinemas.
This year's Kurja Polt Genre Film Festival will take place in a sign freaks, like the name of the retrospective, Freaks – this term was chosen because it unites strangeness and positive charge in one, with which they want to pay tribute to timeless cult classics.
Visitors will thus be able to view 11 movies that bring a company of specials for which he finds himself a place in Kurjepoltem.
He sleeps, Female monkey, A glass cage, Torzo are just some of the classics that will be screened at the Slovenian Cinematheque and Kinodvor, and you can also expect an exhibition entitled Strange colors, in Brussels by the artist Gilles Vranckx, at which you will meet posters for modern movies, which draw inspiration from the horror iconography of the 70s and the psychedelic 60s.
