The new adidas Originals Sport collection combines the iconic Originals aesthetic with sports technology designed for exercise. The result? Clothes that let you workout, grab a coffee, and still look like you have your life in check.
For years, there was an unwritten rule that serious exercise had to look serious. Neutral leggings, a functional top, and a look on your face that said you had six more sets of squats to go. But the days of impersonal sports uniforms are clearly coming to an end.

We spotted a collection on our fashion radar adidas Originals Sport, which is now available in stores and online. It is the first adidas collection to directly combine iconic adidas Originals design elements with training-specific technologies.
And let's admit it: we fell in love with the idea of no longer having to choose between appearance and functionality while exercising.
When the sports hall meets the city streets
Originals Sport is based on a simple yet very modern observation: personal style doesn't end at the gym. Women want to wear clothes that express their character, not just their workout plan, even when they're working out.

The collection therefore combines two areas that adidas masters almost instinctively – sports performance and street fashion. On the one hand, there are technical materials, support and breathability, and on the other, the famous Trefoil logo, recognizable three stripes, feminine lines and slightly bolder proportions of cuts.
The inspiration for it was the legendary Superstar tracksuit, one of those pieces that has long since outgrown sportswear and become part of urban culture. In a new interpretation, its retro energy has been given a more modern, more functional and distinctly feminine look.

The result is not a classic sports collection, but a wardrobe for people whose day is not neatly divided into compartments for "training", "workouts" and "socializing". Because real life doesn't have a wardrobe that waits between individual obligations with the next look.

Sportswear that has personality
Originals Sport includes sports bras, leggings, tops, one-pieces and lightweight layering tops. The collection is functional enough for training, but designed so that individual pieces work effortlessly outside the gym.
Among the key models are sports bras with low or medium support. They are made with technologies AdiSOFT and LYCRA® ADAPTIVE, which provide a soft, airy and flexible feel during movement.

The leggings are available in 7/8 length and classic long version. The material with LYCRA® ADAPTIV fibers adapts to the body and allows for greater freedom of movement, whether you're doing Pilates, strength training or just a very determined walk to the nearest cafe.
Among the upper parts, the following stand out: Superstar Bra Tee and lined Originals Sport Tank, which use technology CLIMACOOL for better ventilation and heat dissipation. This is especially welcome when your workout becomes more intense than you planned – or when your trainer utters the ominous words: “Just one more set.”

The collection is complemented by lightweight pieces Superstar Midlayer and Originals Sport Coverup, designed for layering before, after exercise or during city errands.
The boldest piece, however, is undoubtedly the one-piece jumpsuit. It's a confident fashion statement that can be worn alone or layered with a T-shirt, jacket, and other layers. It's definitely not an item of clothing to hide in the back row of the gym—and that's where its charm lies.

Unexpected color palette and retro details
In addition to functional materials, the collection is characterized by bold silhouettes, feminine cuts and somewhat unexpected color combinations. Classic adidas elements are present, but they don't feel nostalgic or literal.

Rather than simply reviving the past, the collection transposes the brand's design heritage into a contemporary environment where sports, music, fashion and digital culture constantly intertwine.
This is why you can combine individual pieces much more freely than with regular sportswear. Leggings can be worn with an oversized shirt or leather jacket, a sports top with wide pants, and a jumpsuit with a lightweight top and bold sneakers.
The fitness wardrobe finally got permission to leave the gym. As if it ever really needed permission to do so.

The faces of the campaign come from music and sports
The campaign is presented by musicians Tate McRae and Emilia Mernes and American volleyball player Harper MurrayThe choice is not random – all three range between sports, creativity, performance and contemporary pop culture.

They represent the woman for whom the collection was designed: active, confident, and stylistically independent enough to not choose sportswear solely based on how many squats it will withstand.
"Women today are redefining what performance looks like. They want workout clothes that reflect who they are, not just what they do," said Lisann Costello, VP of Design Partnerships and Sports Marketing at adidas, at the launch.

The adidas Originals Sport collection is now available
The collection was presented July 22, 2026 in New York, and it went on sale the next day, July 23, 2026Available in select adidas stores and online. adidas Originals Sport.

Prices for individual pieces range between 40 and 80 euros, which places the collection in a relatively affordable segment of sports and lifestyle fashion.
Originals Sport is interesting primarily because it doesn't try to blur the line between sport and style. Instead, it acts as if that line never existed.

And maybe he's right. After all, the best sportswear is the one that supports movement, withstands serious training, and looks good enough that you don't have to immediately hide it under the first sweatshirt after a workout.
