Day 2 of LJFW 2016: a dose of fashion straight "into the vein"

MiroMisljen, collection Samotna gora // Lonely mountain

On the second day of this year's Ljubljana Fashion Week, MAJA FERME fashion, MiroMisljen, Eric Matyash, Katarina Andrejić (RS), PRINCIP, Simona Lampe and students of the Textile and Clothing Design Department of the Department of Textiles, Graphics and Design at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Ljubljana presented themselves .

MAJA FERME fashion (Maja Ferme), collection name: Gray Gardens

"It's not about fashion, it's about my lifestyle. Gray Gardens is a breakthrough to something beautiful and precious called life.”

MiroMisljen (Miro Misljen), collection name: Samotna gora // Lonely mountain

"Each of us is a lonely mountain, an island, maybe a star / or / something even more lonely / dark in the dark. / It is already a miracle / that something / or someone appears / that makes this topic shine. / And nothing more. (Neža Maurer)"

Eric Matyash (Eric Maj Potočnik, Matjaž Plošinjak), collection name: Crossroads // Crossroads

"The basic idea of the Crossroads collection, as a reflection on current social conflicts, cultural differences and the refugee crisis, subtly appeals to unification and acceptance of diversity. Crossing paths brings broadening of horizons, networking, new possibilities. The colorful image of the collection, as a symbol of the roads, completes the silhouette, which combines feminine clothes of precise tailoring construction with urban multifunctional pieces. Crossroads does not focus on seasons and seasons, but as a whole combines clothes for every month of the year."

Katarina Andrejić (Katarina Andrejić), collection name: Dare to Wear

"Urban dresses for weddings and special occasions with a stamp of uniqueness and feminine shapes."

PRINCIPAL (Mojca Celin), collection name: Reflection // Reflection

"They are materials, clothes and stories that stay with us forever."

Simona Lampe (Simona Lampe), collection name: She-Warrior

"The collection is intended for female warriors and draws inspiration from warrior tasks from the time of Vikings and pirates. On the runway there were many different materials, coverings, layering, in short strong pieces and styling. The reason for this collection was probably the time of uncertainty that is present in the world today, riots, war, fear. I want to convey the message that we should not give up - the right way is to fight, but not with weapons, but with tolerance, love, peace. The world is only one. I still remain loyal to the ecological design approach, so half of the collection will be "upcycle" old brands, including YSL and Burberry."
