GoPro has announced the compact 360-degree GoPro Fusion camera, which enables the capture of 360-degree spherical footage. It will initially be aimed at capturing footage for virtual reality (VR), but of course traditional content will not suffer as a result.
GoPro offered a glimpse of the upcoming high-end 360 degree camera GoPro Fusion. This one can record spherical shots resolution 5.2K at 30 frames per second. The compact camera will be available in a limited edition once until the end in 2017. It will be possible to record with it VR and non-VR content. 'Playing' with the latter will be enabled by the service OverCapture.

According to the founder and CEO of GoPro of Nicholas Woodman is the GoPro Fusion six GoPro cameras rolled into one. You can see how it works in practice in the attached video.
