GoPro has announced the compact 360-degree GoPro Fusion camera, which enables the capture of 360-degree spherical footage. It will initially be aimed at capturing footage for virtual reality (VR), but of course traditional content will not suffer as a result.
GoPro offered a glimpse of the upcoming high-end 360 degree camera GoPro Fusion. This one can record spherical shots resolution 5.2K at 30 frames per second. The compact camera will be available in a limited edition once until the end in 2017. It will be possible to record with it VR and non-VR content. 'Playing' with the latter will be enabled by the service OverCapture.
