The Arvak wooden bicycle is the work of the French design studio Keim and the workshop Breitfuss. It is distinguished by its shell-like frame, which provides exceptional load-bearing capacity through the outer surface, similar to what happens with an eggshell.
The name Arvak comes from this extremely advanced wooden bicycle after the mythological horse that pulls the sun behind it on its way across the sky. The designers wanted to make a bike that imitates the theme of nature. And they did it wonderfully. The wooden frame consists of bio resin and up to 50 layers of glued ash, which ensures optimal results. With a special coating, the wood is protected from the effects of the weather and dirt.
