The mysterious, all-electric SUV, the Audi e-tron, has finally been introduced to us. It is described as a spacious, five-seat, mid-size, all-electric SUV that is well equipped and will meet the needs of premium brand buyers. Its design does not deviate much from the newer generation Audis, but it hides many interesting things inside.
Audi e-tron has available for drive two asynchronous electric motor. The first to produce 135 kW, and the other, which is a little bigger, 140 kW. Temporarily able to take advantage of the 'extra' power, which increases the total power of the engines to 165 kW. The battery has for 95 kilowatt hours of energy and is divided into 432 cells. The total system power thus amounts to 265 kW and 561 newton meters of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h it needs an e-tron 6.4 seconds, but if we use 'extra' power, the time is reduced to 5.5 seconds. Power increases to when using 'Extra Power' 300 kW and 664 newton meters of torque.
The Audi e-tron will have enough power to do it 402 kilometers a long way. The battery will last until 80 % filled in half hours, if we will use 120 volt charging station. In addition, at Audi they are preparing a complete 'charger' scheme, where you will be able to charge the e-tron at charging stations that have a contract with Audi. This is how you will pay the bill monthly, according to the consumption. The first year supposed to be the use of charging stations free of charge. The Audi e-tron has thus joined the rivals BMW iX3 and Mercedes-Benz EQC, and it will be available in Europe for a little more than 60,000 euros.
