Generation Y British music

The music scene in Great Britain has recently seen a series of discoveries of new and not-so-new musicians. What they all have in common is that the new urbanity of the British music scene is plowed by very young people, and their biggest fans are their peers. The music of Gen Y is the music of spoiled British cream - in the best sense of the word.

KING KRULE X SPOILED REBEL

Despite being in his early twenties, Archy Marshall is on the music scene under the name King Krule and Zoo Kid has been around since 2010. The spoiled rebel with a troubled childhood and problems with insomnia released his first studio album 6 Feet Beneath the Moon last year, which received many positive reviews. His unique sound, which falls somewhere between indie rock and punk jazz, was nominated for the BBC's Sound of 2013 award.
