The first SUV of the premium DS brand of the PSA group, the DS7 Crossback, will be a direct competitor to the Audi Q3 and Mercedes GLA sports utility vehicle. The DS brand says that it was inspired by the world of high fashion. All materials should be selected, processed and installed with the utmost care.
DS7 Crossback is prestigious SUV with an eye for detail. It measures 4.57 meters in length, 1.62 meters in height and 1.89 meters in width. The interior is carefully designed. The center screen button is embedded in the crystal glass, and the keys on the center console received decoration clous de Paris, a watchmaking finishing technique from the 16th century that still adorns many today prestigious wristwatches.
The bodywork is no longer joined by welding, but by point gluing, which, among other things, brings greater strength. They take care of comfort heated and massaging seats. With the latter, you can change the angle in the range from 23 to 32 degrees. The basic trunk volume is 550 liters. For added comfort, there is an active suspension (DS Active Scan Suspension), which scans the road with a camera and is able to detect irregularities on the road at a distance of five meters.

The engine range of the DS7 Crossback includes three gasoline engines (THP 225, THP 180, PureTech) and two diesel (BlueHDi 130 and BlueHDi 180). It will also be available with plug-in hybrid system with 300 HP (221 kW) system power and four-wheel drive. The 200 hp gasoline engine is assisted by two electric motors that contribute to 90 kW system power (they are powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity 13 kW, which can be charged via a normal connection in about an hour and a half). They added to the offer eight-speed automatic transmission (EAT8). It adorns all engines greater efficiency and less negative impact on the environment. It has three driving programs available, namely fully electric drive (ZEV) – this one offers a 60-kilometer range without discharges –, hybrid mode (HEV) and combined mode (SPORT). The latter makes maximum use of the power of the gasoline engine of the auxiliary electric motors.
