Newcomer to the automotive world, Californian startup Ludic Motors has unveiled its first car – the 1,000 HP Lucid Air luxury electric sedan to much interest and admiration. It is priced in the same range as Tesla's Model S, which it is a direct competitor to and is likely to win quite a few buyers.
Lucid Air it is electric powered luxury sedan, which are powered by them two electric motors, mounted on the front and rear axles, which together can squeeze out just 1000 horsepower. Two different batteries will be available (they will be purchased from a specialized company Samsung SDI). The smaller one will boast performance 100 kWh, and the larger s 130 kWh. The electric range of the vehicle is 640 kilometers, which is an enviable figure.
Lucid Motors claims that the Air is quite a rival to Tesla's flagship Model S P100D. It promises acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. The car, which is admittedly only a prototype at the moment, is adorned with an elegant and futuristic design, both outside and inside.
There are four independent seats in the passenger cabin, reminiscent of comfortable armchairs. With the possibility of adjusting the inclination, the rear passengers can rest comfortably on long drives. The windshield is attached to panoramic roof.
It is equipped with three screens. One acts as a dashboard, while the other two are located on the center console and are equipped with multimedia functions, navigation and other vehicle control elements. He takes care of the soundscape 29-channel sound system.

Start of production of Lucid Air vehicles - this will take place in Arizona, USA - is announced for the end of 2017, and the first customers should reach in 2018.
