The Swedish furniture giant Ikea has produced a lightweight bicycle specially adapted to the urban environment and designed with a stainless toothed belt that replaces the classic bicycle chain. According to the company, maintenance of the aluminum bike will be completely simple and user-friendly.
Ikea's urban bike Sladda includes gray matte frame, which was created at the suggestion of Oskar Juhlin, Jan Puranen and Kristian Eke from the Swedish studio Veryday Design. Forget the rusting of the bicycle chain, the toothed belt is made of stainless materials, and the gears are hidden in the hub of the rear wheel. The steering wheel is adjustable and the buyer can choose between two wheel sizes. Ikea's The "bike" also comes with a trailer trunk that can be easily attached to the back of the bike. Ikea said that the product is suitable for anyone over the age of 12.

The product has already been received numerous awards and recognitions for excellent design and purpose. Sladda is not the first bicycle produced by Ikea. In 2014, it was available in selected Austrian stores electrical bike, but the model is no longer available for some time.
As the multinational said, Sladda will be available worldwide starting this August at retail price 699 euros.
