At the design festival in Reykjavik, Icelandic student Ari Jonsson presented a biodegradable bottle that, when emptied, can even be eaten!
He's had enough of humans creating and throwing away so much plastic
Ari Jonsson after realizing how much plastic waste we create every day, he decided to do something in this direction. He was horrified when he read that as much as 50 percent of bottles are thrown away after one use. "I feel that we urgently need to find a way to reduce the abnormal amount of plastic that we create," he said Ari Jonsson, who cannot understand why we use materials (and in such enormous quantities) that take hundreds of years to decompose in nature.

His 'bottle' retains its shape as long as there is liquid in it
Ari didn't stop at just words. He began to study different materials and finally discovered a material that can solve the plastic problem that is destroying our planet and thus ourselves. He formed powdered red algae into a biodegradable 'bottle' by adding water and heat treating the mixture. He formed a mold from the gel-like substance he obtained and placed it in the chest to harden. Such a biodegradable 'bottle' retains its shape as long as there is liquid in it. When we empty it, it starts to fall apart. And as if that wasn't gratifying enough, we can even eat the substance at the end. Thousands of likes!
