Of all the rooms in our homes, the kitchen is the center of energy, activity, comfort and creativity. It is the heartbeat of every apartment. The Ikea kitchen concept, which was presented at this year's Design Week in Milan, assumes that in 10 years there will no longer be a refrigerator in our kitchen, as it will be replaced by a modern pantry.
In the coming decade, as our environment and our habits change, ours will also develop drastically kitchen. Ikea is with the help of the company IDEA London and a group of students from Lund and Eindhoven universities, investigated the social, technological and demographic forces that will influence our behavior around food in the year 2025.
