Ljubljana was once again patted on the back, as the travel "bible" Lonely Planet placed it in second place on the list of the best European summer tourist destinations. Only Greece came in front of her, and SW England, Italy, Viking-colored places in Denmark, Seville in Spain, the Outer Hebrides in Scotland and other excellent destinations are looking behind her. Check out who all Slovenia beat on this extraordinary list.
Lonely Planet, which is considered a must-read for every world traveler, added quite a few choice words about our capital to the selection, among other things, that it is good to learn its otherwise difficult-to-pronounce name, as we will surely hear a lot more about it in the future. Of course they couldn't pass 2,000 years of Emona, whose descendant is dressed in green today Ljubljana, and many events that will accompany this colossal anniversary. When they looked at it in a wider context, the context of Slovenia, they gave it a picturesqueness Switzerland, which doesn't hit the wallet as hard. They also praised its proximity to other places and the excellent condition of the bus network.
