Highline Meeting International Festival – hammocks strung high above the ground in the Alps

Some people like to walk on the edge, others on the slackline. The international Highline Meeting festival is a kind of mixture of both. It offers tranquility and at the same time a fair dose of adrenaline, as visitors here spend most of their time in hammocks stretched high above the ground in the Italian Alps.

For all those who are afraid height, the international Highline Meeting festival is definitely not. Its visitors are torn between Dolomite Alps in an Italian place Monte Piano and they are only prevented from falling a hundred and more meters below hammock, clinging to a nylon rope.

"Slackers", as they say - a name borrowed from the activity it is called "slackline" or walking on a ribbon made of artificial fibers, which strengthens all our muscles while trying to balance and coordinate the body - so most of the festival time (day and night) is spent on hammocks extreme heights. And although "slackers" used to be mostly just climbers, today this sport has also infected mere mortals.

Don't worry, this isn't the only way to get to the hammock.

So this festival is not only for those in need a spoonful of adrenaline, because in addition to hanging over the precipice and tandem skydive also offers things you find at regular festivals- culinary delights (also spoon dishes), drinks, musical "jam sessions", workshops, etc. Because if you don't have the stomach for such heights, you certainly have it for some good food. You can photograph human "bugs" instead of becoming one.
