Already thinking about changing your tires? Do you know when to change winter and summer tires? March 15 is approaching, which drivers in Slovenia know as the day when winter tires can be replaced with summer ones. Although the legally prescribed period during which the use of winter equipment is mandatory in traffic expires on this date, it makes sense to wait a little longer before changing. Especially if you are going abroad.
It is again time to change the tires. It is getting closer March 15, which marks the end of the prescribed period during which it is in circulation mandatory use of winter equipment. With the exception of those who drive winter-summer tires (a fifth of them in Slovenia, together with those who "burn" winter tires during the summer), the rest of the fleet of drivers will line up in the coming weeks to change tires in vulcanizers. But maybe it doesn't make sense to be the first in line to trade. Why not? It would be best if we read the law itself.
”Road Traffic Safety Act Article 114 stipulates that winter equipment is mandatory from November 15 to March 15 or in case of winter conditions." Aha! We further read: "Winter conditions exist on a road or part of it when, during snowfall, the snow sticks to the roadway or when the roadway is covered with snow, ice (sheets of ice) or ice (icicle)." This year, it is therefore wise to postpone the matter until April, even though a mild winter is behind us, which surprises every day. But definitely postpone your date with the vulcanizer if you're heading next month Austria or Italy, because there winter equipment is mandatory until April 15!

Increasingly higher temperatures, with which it also increases asphalt temperature, otherwise they call for summer footwear, as it performs better on warmer asphalt, while the wear of winter tires is much faster then, but prudence is the mother of wisdom, so you'd better wait a little longer before changing. In March, you have this freedom, November 15, when the season of winter tires begins, but not.
