The Mercedes AMG GT3 racer is a thoroughbred racing car

Mercedes Benz AMG GT3

You are all certainly familiar with Formula 1, in which Mercedes-Benz has been active for many years. Less well known is also the competition of the FIA association called GT3, for which the brand with the three-pointed star on its nose is showing its appetite. Later, the racing car was to be followed by a civil version, which with around 600 sparkly crows under the hood was supposed to "ask the pants" of the Porsche 911 GT3.

That's how Daimler prepared for Geneva competitive GT3 version model AMG GT, which replaces the iconic SLS AMG. In terms of design, the origins are unmistakable, but despite this, the tracks were widened to suit racing, a more aggressive body kit was added, and at the rear there was also a a huge skirt or rather a spoiler. This ensures aerodynamics, as well as even greater ground pressure and better contact with the ground.

The interior is uncompromisingly racing, with carbon bucket seats, a roll cage, a racing steering wheel and a sequential gearbox.

Inside, in addition to the obligatory roll cage and other reinforcements, the GT3 racer also received many carbon accessories, and the same material also adorns the shell seats with six-point seat belts. In front of the driver, also according to competition regulations, there is a two-spoke racing steering wheel with many switches for setting the operation of various parameters of the car, and behind it is a large screen that serves as an instrument panel.

Although Daimler is still fairly tight-lipped about technical data, certain recognized media have already "heard" that 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine from the serial version replaced the engine from the older brother SLS AMG. Connoisseurs will be able to tell that it is about 6.3 liter V8 engine with power around 600 hp.

The management of Daimler further supported the rumors with the information that after the launch of the model for the GT3 competition, they should also prepare "road" version of the AMG GT model with the GT3 ending, with which it is supposed to compete Porsche 911 GT3.
