The Mercedes-Benz GLS is actually the new Mercedes-Benz GL, i.e. the new largest SUV of this elite German car brand. But the renovation was so specific that it added the letter S to its name in the style of smart phones. Now the biggest Mercedes giant will compete even more easily with its rivals on the road, but on the off-road it was completely left without it.
Mercedes-Benz GLS it is the new Mercedes GL. The renovation was more than just cosmetic, hence the new name. Well, if we start with the appearance. The mask is new (a more rounded nose), which emphasizes the three-pointed star even more prominently, the bumper is new, the headlights are new and even more advanced, the new tail light graphics, the body colors are new, the alloy wheels are new, and the rear of this one is new a seven-seater SUV, whose upgrade went in the style of the smaller Mercedes GLE (former ML) model. But most of the changes did not happen outside, but inside. It's new three-spoke steering wheel, the air vents are new, the lighting is new, the upholstery is new and it is new infotainment screen position (touch-sensitive with web access), which got rid of its clamps and moved to the top of the center console.

Mercedes-Benz has also added some muscle and testosterone to the GLS range of engines. Here she is (for now) lonely V6 diesel option known by the name 350d 4Matic with 190 kW and 258 hp, and there are gasoline versions GLS 400 4Matic (333 HP), GLS 500 4Matic (V8 Biturbo, 335 kW, 456 hp) and the brutal Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 (430 kW, 585 hp). The latter is equipped with a 7-speed gearbox Speedshift 7G-tronic, and the rest have a built-in 9-speed gearbox 9G-tronic developed at Diemler.
Along with the off-road package (offers six different driving programs), they also come reducer and center differential lock, but we should not forget the air suspension with which the Mercedes-Benz GLS can rise up to 30.6 centimeters above the ground and thus no water (which is not deeper than 60 centimeters) is not too much for him. Mercedes-Benz GLS goes on sale March 2016, for which you will have to shell out somewhere between 74,800 and 135 thousand euros.
