Citroën presents the new C4 Cactus, its latest compact five-door sedan. It is adorned with so many extraordinary innovations that we don't even know where to begin. However, the C4 Cactus will definitely take the command of its car segment in terms of technologies and engines, while at the same time it will still stand out from the competition due to its unique character traits and comfort.
New ones Citroën C4 Cactus (2017) adorns wide and expressive front part with renewed features, redesigned sides and luxurious rear end, in which they are embedded new LED lights with 3D effect. The shape of the new C4 Cactus looks iridescent from the profile.
The vehicle boasts ideal proportions, as it has 1/3 glazed surfaces and 2/3 unglazed sides, v and his height is a moderate 1.48 meters. It is equipped with a floating roof thanks to the 360-degree connection of the glass surfaces. They are exposed on the vehicle graphic elements, characteristic of the Citroën brand, which emphasize the flowing lines of the body, such as, for example Airbump protection on the lower part of the door, two-level front part and a light signature with a 3D effect, or a wide light signature with LEDs with a 3D effect on the back.
At Citroën, they had this in mind above all else driver comfort and well-being. For the new C4 Cactus, they drew inspiration from their technological heritage in the field of hydraulic suspension. That's how it will be the new C4 Cactus as the first in Europe introduced suspension with progressive hydraulic wishbones (Progressive Hydraulic Cushions™ - PHC) and a world premiere Advanced Comfort seats, which offer a level of sitting and driving comfort that has never been seen before.
It's inside functional and open space, which at first glance hints at calmness, mainly thanks to the large panoramic glass roofs with high thermal protection. Its special heat treatment allows light to pass through without the risk of glare, blocks heat and provides protection against UV rays just like category 4 sunglasses. The new C4 Cactus is equipped with low dashboard, which has a horizontally distributed surface and on which it appears that a central touchscreen and a fully digital instrument panel to display essential information they kind of float. The digital driving interface offers an unsaturated and connected driver's seat, which has control switches arranged around 7-inch touch screen with powerful technology that is part of the standard equipment.
To help the driver, the new C4 Cactus offers top driving assistance systems, who help us overcome sleepiness or just a moment of inattention behind the wheel and warn of the danger of traffic accidents. The assistance systems displayed on the digital interface of the new C4 Cactus form the first stage on the way to an autonomous vehicle. Automatic emergency braking (Active Safety Brake) to reduce the risk of a frontal collision by braking instead of the driver. The multi-function camera on the upper part of the windshield detects obstacles, such as a vehicle traveling in the same direction or standing in front of the vehicle. From a speed of 5 km/h to 85 km/h, the system automatically initiates braking as soon as it detects the risk of a collision. Traffic sign reading and speed limit recommendation: the system recognizes speed limit traffic signs and displays this information on the instrument panel. The driver can save the displayed speed with a single gesture as a reference value for the cruise control or the vehicle's speed limiter. Coffee Break Alert (driving break warning): warns the driver that it is time to take a break after two hours of continuous driving at a speed above 70 m/h.
The new C4 Cactus boasts engines that offer first-class performance. On offer it has three-cylinder petrol engines, equipped with the latest technologies that ensure quick response and control over emissions and fuel consumption, and BlueHDi diesel engines, which provide passengers with economical consumption and a respectful attitude towards the environment.
The new C4 Cactus offers as many as 31 combinations to individualize the exterior with nine body colors and four color packs, which contain stylish and colorful accessories, with which customers can assemble the vehicle according to their own wishes. For an even more intensive individualization of the image, five alloy wheels are also available.
