The new Mini Countryman (2017) – longer, wider and for the first time a plug-in hybrid

Mini Countryman it's not classic Mini, but at the same time it is a typical Mini. It's fresh evidence new Mini Countryman (2017), which has grown somewhat compared to its predecessor, as it is 20 centimeters longer and three centimeters wider, and the wheelbase has also increased by 7.5 centimeters.

As a result, it is more space for five passengers and luggage. There is more head and shoulder room for the driver and front passenger, while rear passengers now have three equal seats and a larger 'entrance'. The legroom has also increased by 5 cm. You can now open the trunk electronically or with a 'kick in the ass'. A Mini Countryman will also be available for the first time as a plug-in hybrid (Mini Cooper SE Countryman ALL4). It's the first Mini ever to have one plug-in hybrid drive.

Mini Cooper SE Countryman ALL4 it has a purely electric range of up to 40 kilometers (speed up to 125 km/h). It combines a 99-kilowatt 1.5 liter V3 petrol engine (front axle) with 134 hp (219 kW) and 65 kilowatt electric motor (rear axle). The system power is 224 hp (162 kW), and the lithium-ion battery was charged from a household socket in approx. 3 hours and 15 minutes, otherwise less in an hour. Three driving modes are available, namely Auto eDrive, Max eDrive and Save Battery, which uses the gasoline engine to continuously charge the battery.

They will be available from classic engines new turbo-petrol and turbo-diesel units Mini TwinPower Turbo generations with a power range between 136 and 192 horses. The gearbox will be manual or automatic (Steptronic).

The new Mini Countryman has become even more versatile and, among other things, got electrically operated trunk lids. You are also new picnic bench (Mini Picnic Bench), which provides on the edge of the luggage compartment two additional seats. It is a cushion that is pulled out of the loading sill and used as a seat. It's also new central display with touch screen. Four wheel drive ALL 4 is available on request, and the application cannot be overlooked Mini Connected, which is used as a personal assistant.

The new Mini Countryman has higher sitting position for an even better overview of what is happening, while at the same time it provides greater driving pleasure. Folding backrests adjustable rear seats slope (the seat can be moved lengthwise by 13 centimeters) allow for separate folding in the ratio 40 : 20 : 40. The volume of the trunk is now 450 liters, and everything can be expanded up to 1309 liters, which is 220 liters more as with the current model.

In the interior, it borrowed most of the things from its predecessor, but it allows considerable customization - the choice of colors and upholstery, technological accessories (among them is an infotainment system with 8.8-inch touch screen) etc.
