New Renault Zoe - 400 kilometer range to begin the end of petroleum products

New Renault Zoe

The Renault Zoe is one of Europe's best-selling electric cars, and the new Renault Zoe will only cement that status. On paper, Renault promises an electric range of 400 kilometers, but in reality we can expect 300. It got a battery that is half as powerful and a more efficient electric motor. It is a breakthrough in electromobility, as the Zoe will provide adequate range for all drivers (300 kilometers is the psychological limit in the minds of buyers). They will be able to comfortably switch to electric drive.

Renault Zoe it is considered the best-suited thoroughbred for the masses electric car, and the new Renault Zoe will come closer to them than any before. By the way, the French have produced hundreds of thousands of electric cars to date. New Renault Zoe it has a more powerful battery. The engineers intended for him 41 kWh lithium-ion battery higher energy density (developed with LG), but also adds its own more efficient electric motor, from which it squeezes out 88 hp (65 kW), which is eleven more than its predecessor. According to the European NEDC certificate, the new Zoe should be able to drive without intermediate charging 400 kilometers in real traffic (twice as much as the representative of the first generation), which should be taken with some caution. But even 300 kilometers, which is supposed to be its real range, is enough that the electric range will no longer be there a psychological barrier in the minds of buyers.

It has also advanced the charging system, which enables maximum charging speed with a power of 43 kWh. A half-hour connection at a public charging station (there are already over 80,000 of them in Europe) will thus be sufficient for further 80 kilometers. For the sake of it battery thermal monitoring it promises a longer lifespan and more efficient use of energy. The R-LINK interface has an option in the integrated navigation device emission-free travel, with which we can determine in advance where we will "refuel".
