Peugeot has revealed a new electric solution in the world of mobility. It is placed between the two-wheel and four-wheel segments and has a plug-in hybrid drive. The two electric motors hidden in the wheels are accompanied by an internal combustion engine.
Peugeot in addition to cars, it also manufactures scooters and other means of transportation, and now they have started to do more electric scooter. And not an ordinary one, but one that is, at first glance, very unusual. Scooter up to speed 70 km/h it does not produce any environmentally harmful emissions, which they take care of two electric motors, which were developed in cooperation with Brembom and Elapheum. 48 watt Samsung battery can be filled with regenerative braking. When driving the scooter at a speed between 70 and 130 km/h, the drive takes over 31-kilowatt single-cylinder engine to internal combustion. With an extremely light tilting scooter, we can thus transport up to 300 kilometers and reach top speed 130 km/h.
The tilting system of the hybrid scooter offers superior handling and it's as simple to ride as any three-wheeled scooter. For this system and for the tilt control system, Peugeot has invested more than 13 patents. The tilting system is equipped with, among other things, hydraulic components and hydro-pneumatic shock absorbers. Small dimensions of the scooter, in it measures 2.4 meters in length and in only 0.85 meters wide, and revolving door they ensure easier parking and less crowding on the road. Because closed and heated cabins, seat belts and airbags, helmets, gloves and waterproof clothing will become a thing of the past when riding a scooter in adverse weather conditions.
