We all already know that LEDs are much more efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs. The only drawback of LED lights is their unusual appearance, which people are not used to. Philips introduced a new generation of LEDs in the form of traditional light bulbs with transparent glass.
LEDs they have a much better energy efficiency and with the same brightness produce less heat. While the classic incandescent lamp has an extremely poor efficiency, as only about 10 percent of the energy is converted into visible light. At Philips, they decided that they would kept the traditional form light bulbs and thus brought them closer to people better LED technology.
Philips plans to sell LED bulbs already in July, and the price should range around 9 euros.
