Recipe: chocolate salami, an intoxicating no-bake dessert

Chocolate salami

Chocolate salami has a somewhat unusual name, but it's not some bizarre mixture of sweet and salty, this dessert has 'salami' in its name only because of its appearance. Preparing this extremely sweet dessert without the use of an oven or a baking tray is extremely easy, fun and extremely short. Ideal for occasions when you are pressed for time.

Delicious chocolate salami is an excellent dessert for the upcoming holidays, when you want to please your guests with something sweet. There is always no time to bake pastries for a long time, but then they jump in desserts without baking or cooking, which can be prepared quickly and easily, but in terms of taste and appearance they are not inferior to baked cakes, cakes and cookies in the least. With chocolate salami, these words become meat.

Chocolate salami is ideal for special occasions such as parties, holidays or birthdays, when we already have our hands full, and we don't need additional work in the kitchen.

Ingredients for no-bake chocolate salami (for 8 people):

  • 500 g chocolate powder
  • 250 g ground almonds/walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 1 bag of coconut flakes
  • 4 tablespoons of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of rum (optional)
  • 2 egg whites

Preparation of chocolate salami without baking:

Pour the chocolate, cocoa, sugar, vanilla sugar and ground almonds/walnuts onto the aluminum foil. Then kill the egg and separate the yolk from the white. Mix the egg white with the listed ingredients, to which we add another two tablespoons of milk and (optionally) rum. Knead the mixture well until it becomes soft (if it is too dry, add a little more milk). Form it into a salami, wrap it very tightly in aluminum foil and place it in the refrigerator for two hours. After this time, unwrap the chocolate salami and roll it in coconut flakes. Then just cut it into slices and eat it. Have a good run!
