Director Ridley Scott is preparing for another space adventure. A new miniseries is in the works, which will succeed Kubrick's unforgettable film classic "2001: A Space Odyssey" from 1968.
Miniseries under the name 3001: The Final Odyssey, will follow the novel of the same name by the author by Arthur C. Clarke and will appear on television screens already in 2015.
Ridley Scott will take on the role of producer while he prepares the script Stuart Beattie. The miniseries is supposed to continue the story of the astronaut Frank Poole, who finally wakes him up again after a thousand years (in the movie, HAL-9000 launches him into deep space).
