First, Snapchat (as a company) is no longer Snapchat. Now it's just Snap. Second, and more importantly, Snap introduced Snapchat Spectacles, a pair of sunglasses for taking photos. The move is logical. Every second, more than 100 million active users of the Snapchat mobile application share more than nine thousand photos with each other. With the glasses, which will be available in three colors, it will be possible to capture both photos and videos.
Company Snapchat, which is now only Snap, will soon offer sunglasses to its users Snapchat Spectacles, which will enable capture photos and 10-second clips by pressing the button (located on the left side of the glasses frame). They built in them wide angle lens, which covers a 115-degree angle, and lights on the inside and outside to let the user and people know you're filming.
They are equipped with wireless technology, which means that users will be able to immediately publish content on the social network Snapchat. It will record power for 30 seconds of video material at once. The content will stay on the glasses until you transfer it to your smartphone (iOS does this automatically unless you specify otherwise), where it is saved under the 'memories' section (Memories) of the Snapchat app.

With Snapchat Spectacles, whose battery provides one day of autonomy (glasses case and extends it to a week), Snap takes on the business Facebook, its main rival, which in 2014 bit into the world of virtual reality (smart glasses Oculus VR). Snapchat Spectacles is nowhere near as serious a project as Mark Zuckerberg's $2 billion one, but it shows Snap's desire to become more than just synonymous with social network. The glasses will be pocket-friendly, as you will have to shell out for them around 115 euros. At first they will only be available in limited quantities, as Snap will test the temperature of the market with them, and if the response is positive, it is to be expected that they will be offered to the wider public.
