Fortunately, she did not announce what we all feared out loud, as she has not yet drawn the line under her career, but she has decided to take a one-year break, which will also give an answer about (not) continuing or possibly unfreezing her career. She will use the time in between to regenerate, physically and mentally, to complete her studies, and she will allocate some of it to marketing and sponsors.
The best Slovenian alpine skier of all time Tina Maze therefore for a year withdraws from the training process and everything that surrounds alpine skiing. She will use the break for degree completion, sponsors, and somewhere along the way it will also crystallize the possibility of returning to the World Cup caravan, in which it is in a sixteen-year career left an indelible mark. Namely, she is a multiple world and Olympic champion, the owner of small crystal globes, and she also entered the skiing pantheon, as she became the joint winner of the World Cup, thus receiving the holy grail in alpine skiing. big crystal globe.

After sixteen long and successful seasons, when I trained and competed in all disciplines, I think that my body and mind need a longer rest than usual. I will take a year off before making further decisions.
