Anna Karenina, a great novel Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy on the issue of female infidelity has been an inspiration to many theater and film directors, musicians and other artists since its inception in the 19th century. In 1972 (one hundred years after Tolstoy began writing the novel), she was Anna Karenina performed for the first time in a ballet version to the music of Rodion Ščedrin. Famous composer Tchaikovsky he never wrote the music for the famous story, but in HNK Zagreb however, they felt that his masterpieces (including the Sentimental Waltz, the Elegy in G minor and the Concerto in D major for violin and orchestra) were more than a suitable musical basis for the famous story.
