On Tuesday, May 17, 2016, versatile string players will perform in the Štih hall of Cankarjev dom Ljubljana Matthias Bartholomew and Clemens Bittmann. They will introduce themselves with a variety original music, which includes elements of classical chamber music, jazz, ethnic music and sometimes pop and rock. Who would have thought that classical instruments could "groove" so much under their fingers.
In the remaining concert days, the following will also perform: one of the most respected Scandinavian cellists, Torleif Thedéen, Symphony Orchestra of RTV Slovenia under the leadership conducted by Daniel Raiskin and Ensemble MUSICA CUBICULARIS. There will also be several seminars, of course, thematically related to the cello, as well as three types of accompanying events - performances by students and cello students, a violin presentation "How is a cello made?" and a lecture "The art of making strings".
