Between August 24 and 28, the Kraken Short Festival (FeKK) will take place in the hall of the Slovenian Cinematheque and outdoors, in the auditorium on the Metelkova museum platform.
Short Kraken Festival (FeKK) is an international short film festival, where this year international and Slovenian short film productions will be presented to domestic audiences and professionals. In this way, the first international short film festival is coming to Slovenia, which will create a meeting point for international authors, theoreticians, producers and festival organizers.FeKK is organized by the Kraken Society for the Promotion of Short Films, which regularly organizes short film evenings at the Slovenian Cinematheque, hosts its programs at various festivals, and in 2014 already prepared the third edition of the international K3 festival in our country. As their events enjoy excellent attendance and audience response, this year the association organizes the first edition of an independent festival, which sets itself an ambitious goal - to become the largest short film festival in the region. The festival team consists of young professionals who have been working for many years in the fields of film criticism, programming and organization of film festivals (Slovene Film Festival, Ljubljana International Film Festival LIFFe and others) and other cultural events. With the festival, they want to attract both domestic and foreign guests, who will have the opportunity to present their work to a Slovenian audience. They are planning a rich festival event with screenings, round tables, cuisine and an evening music program.
