The Lent Festival 2017 will undoubtedly be something special. It is celebrating a landmark anniversary - 25 years of growth, existence, joy, 'lounging' and festival adventures. One of the biggest summer festivals in our country will once again host the most famous names, and the events will be diverse and colorful. The undisputed star of the festival will be Bob Geldof, a musician best known for his activism and the song I Don't Like Mondays.
The festival of Lent was created and grew out of the desire to offer the city and the residents of the region at least once a year at an affordable price cultural excesses, intensity and cosmopolitan diversity, which are a more common and everyday occurrence in more developed cities.

Lent Festival 2017 celebrates 25 years and the program will also be suitable for this - diverse, colorful, star-studded.
He is coming to the Main Stage, the main one at the festival and in the city Bob Geldof, a musician we know much better for his activist side, but his musical creation is unfairly overlooked. For many years he was the first musician on the list for the Nobel Peace Prize, his lyrics are more relevant today than ever before: the song I Don't Like Mondays, with which he indelibly marked all the Mondays of this world, is Geldof's response to the high school massacre; The Great Song of Indifference is a hymn to modern nihilism; This Is the World Calling and the tension between sanctity and love of life.
The 2017 Lent festival will host, among other things, for the first time foreign musical, the infamous and one of the most performed creations of Andrew Lloyd Weber – Jesus Christ Superstar, which depicts the last 7 days of Jesus' life from the perspective of his follower – and betrayer – Judas Iscariot. It will stage it city theater from Brno.
