Thornfest 2016 will be! It was hanging in the air for a long time, but the international summer festival, which traditionally brightens the August events in Ljubljana, will take place again this year. Below we publish the program and the list of performers. Trnfest will take place from 4 to 24 August 2016.
It's getting close Thornfest 2016! Cult international summer festival Trnfest, which is considered one of the most popular summer cultural and artistic events in Ljubljana, continues to "kick". The first performance of Trnfest dates back to the year 1992, but this time it will be the twenty-fifth time in a row that it will offer "a high-quality, varied, genre-diverse, international and unconventional program with domestic and international participation.”

On the annual stage of the Trnfest festival, which has long since outgrown the framework of local alternative summer gatherings, will be lively again this year, but in case of bad weather, the events will traditionally be moved to the Kuda Hall. Attending all events is free of charge. In the last week of Trnfest 2016 (between August 25 and 27), the event will traditionally be completed in the courtyard Emonia promenade, a sister festival aimed at families.
