Formatlon is a charity running event that will liven up Tivoli Park for the sixth time in a row. It runs for eight hours, and the winner is the one who runs the most kilometers in that time.
Formatlon it is family run, where it is run for a good cause. We can run two kilometers, or we can run for a full eight hours, whatever suits us. Every kilometer counts, say the organizers, whose guiding principle is charity. Funds collected each year from charity running events they donate to another institution. The first year runners ran for red noses, it's the second year Formatlon supported Section for Down syndrome, they made the third year happy Association of Friends of Youth, which enabled socially disadvantaged children to have winter holidays in Kranjska Gora, and for the fourth year the funds were allocated renovation of the apartment, which is intended for parents of children undergoing cancer treatment. Last year, funds were collected for Foundation for helping children with cancer and again this year the funds will be allocated to the Foundation for Helping Children with Cancer. Last year, the runners managed to run together 12,190.992 kilometers. This year they hope to set a new record.
We will also be running at the City Magazine running academy, which you can sign up for here.
