The alter rock group Garbage will stop in Slovenia for the first time in June 2016. Although the Scottish-American band has been around for 23 years, the face and voice of Shirley Manson, Butch Vig, Duke Erikson and Steve Marker are far from being old fashioned, as their name might suggest. They will take over the stage of Cinema Šiška on June 7, 2016. Tickets are already on sale.

And who are Garbage? A case of alter rock a group whose beginnings date back to 1993, when she grew her Scottish-American roots in Madison (Wisconsin, USA). They are putting it together Shirley Manson (vocals, guitar and keyboards), which is the only one from Scotland, and the Americans Duke Erikson (bass, guitar and keyboards), Steve Marker (guitar and keyboards) and Butch Vig (drums and percussion). The latter is considered one of the "hottest" rock producers, and among his references we also find a cult album Nevermind by Nirvana. All four actively participate in the creation of songs and production. They shot into the stratosphere with their debut album Garbage (1995) and have released five studio albums to date. Despite their more alternative sound, they convinced the masses, and in 1999 they even recorded the title track for the nineteenth a James Bond movie, Everything and the World (1999), with the title The World Is Not Enough.
Some time ago, they announced the release of a new album, the sixth in a row, which will be under the title Strange Little Birds came out June 10, 2016, i.e. just a few days after their visit to Slovenia. Tickets you can already make a reservation for the concert.
