The British synthpop duo, after their outstanding debut in 2010 with the album Happiness and the somewhat less successful album Exile, returns with the album Surrender, which will be released on October 9 this year. The boys are also coming back with a tour, during which they will also perform in Vienna.
Intelligent, unbiased, rhythmic and unobtrusively romantic pop - this is how the duo's music could be described Hurts, featuring a lot of people, especially with their debut album Happiness (2010), saw the reincarnation of Depeche Mode.
The duo Hurts make up Theo Hutchcraft on vocals and Adam Anderson on keyboards and guitar. Electropop or synthpop experienced a revival in Great Britain with them and their debut album Happiness (2010), the leading musical genre of commercial music of the 80's was resurrected in a slightly modified form. The record gave birth to singles such as Wonderful Life, Stay and Sunday.
Three years later we witnessed a new album Exile (2013), which by no means showed any excesses. They stuck to the formula borrowed from the eighties and this time added some harder sounds, which unfortunately were not enough to overcome the overly sugary choruses and equally pathetic lyrics. The album was marked by singles Miracle, Blind and Somebody to Die For.

Today, the duo is about to release their third album Surrender (2015), from which three singles have already been revealed to the public: Lights, Rolling Stone and Some Kind of Heaven. Although it seemed that the guys didn't find the right chemistry between them on the second album, they might be able to do it with the third album. But it will have to wait a little longer.
