Concert: Icelandic indie-folk band Of Monster and Men in Vienna in November

Of Monster and Men, a five-member indie-folk/indie-pop band from Iceland that started their journey in 2010, is a bit more everyday Icelandic music export than we are usually used to. In their five years of existence, they have released two studio albums and the latter, Beneath The Skin (2015), is the one with which they embark on a tour. On November 9, they will also be available in Vienna.

Group Of Monsters And Men was created when Nanna Bryndis Hilmarsdottir (previously performing under the stage name Songbird) teamed up with Ragnar “Raggi” Þórhallsson, Brynjar Leifsson and Arnar Rósenkranz Hillmarsson to perform as a four-piece at Iceland's annual music competition Músíktilrauni (Music Experiments).
After winning the talent battle in 2010, Árni Guðjónsson Kristján and Páll Kristjánsson joined the group. Their debut, My Head Is An Animal (2012), climbed to No. 6 on Billboard's best-selling albums chart in April 2012, based on track performance Little Talks and Mountain Sound not surprising at all.
Icelandic indie-folk band Of Monsters and Men then announced the follow-up to their debut album My Head Is an Animal after four years. The second album, named Beneath The Skin (2015), due to the consistent structure from the verse to the chorus, musically it does not deviate from the set form. The result, which we could hear for the first time at the beginning of June, was announced by a single Crystals.
