She is beautiful, has a soul and a unique voice. Joss Stone is considered to be one of the best British soul performers of the newer generation, who after a good decade of creation knows how to serve things in the music world, so she will certainly not leave us indifferent either in the Šiška Cinema or in the Arena in Pula. Summer will be hers!
She's like a 16-year-old singer Joss Stone in 2003 surprised the music public with a platinum debut The Soul Sessions, which had us all dancing to the smash hit Super Duper Love (Are You Diggin' on Me?) Pt. 1. Melodic modern soul, pleasantly scratchy and energetic vocals and positive energy convinced both listeners and critics. Her second album was similarly successful a year later Mind Body & Soul, for which, including the hit You Had Me, she received a Grammy nomination in 2005 and became the youngest British artist to land an album at number one in the domestic album chart.
In 2007, the ambitious Joss released the album Introducing Joss Stone, with which she finally reached the US market and landed in the top five of the Billboard 200 album chart, which marked the second best ranking by a British solo artist. In 2009, she served the puck Color Me Free!, which ranked among top 10 Billboard albums, although it was the last album the singer released for her parent label. Three years later, she created the album LP 1 under the auspices of her own label and with the authorial and productional assistance of co-founder of the band Eurythmics, David A. Stewart. In 2012, she released a follow-up to her debut titled The Soul Sessions Vol. 2, which also represents the fourth consecutive album with which she reached the top ten on the Billboard chart.
Joss Stone has already sold in her career more than 14 million albums around the world, including two Brit music awards and one Grammy out of five nominations. She has collaborated with many world-famous musicians, such as John Legend, Jeff Beck, Mick Jagger, Damien Marley, Angie Stone, The Roots, Herbie Hancock, Patti LaBelle, Stevie Wonder, which only confirms her musical dimensions.
We already experienced her live here in 2009, but this time she will provide a summer night full of melodic and new-age soul in our Križanke and Pula Arena.
