Arguably the most brutal running event in the world, the Red Bull 400 Planica 2016, the run to the top of the Gorišek brothers' airfield, which is officially the steepest 400-meter uphill run in Europe, is approaching. The fourth chance to win the run with a start at the bottom of the giant mountain (that is where the Slovenian eagles usually land) and the finish at the top of the starting ramp will be offered to mountain runners on September 17, 2016.
Running event Red Bull 400 Planica 2016 this year it will be held in the valley under Poncami, where the runners will be waiting the airport of the Gorišek brothers in its renewed form, took place on September 17, 2016. Anyone can register for the run until September 11, 2016 or until places are filled. Runners will perform in four categories, namely 400 meters for women (limit: 100 participants), 400 meters for men (limit: 500 participants), 4 x 100 meters (limit: 60 relays of four) and 8 x 50 meters for firemen's relays (limit: 20 firemen societies).

All of you who thought it was the steepest street in the world, you Baldwin Street in New Zealand, steep and demanding with its 300 meters, you have not yet run to the top of the ski lift, that is, to the point from where Peter Prevc and the rest of the Slovenian eagles are driven to the valley below Poncami, where they are traditionally greeted by a crowd of tens of thousands. And just as you have to have courage to go down the airstrip, it also takes a good amount of courage, and especially leg strength, to in running sneakers you pass in the opposite direction.
Running along the mountain giant it is rightly considered one of the most difficult running tests in the world. The Red Bull 400 is also held elsewhere, for example at the airport in Kulm, but the other tests are not as brutally demanding as the one in Planica. The run to the top of the Gorišek brothers' airfield is therefore the most brutal 400 meters, which you will experience at any time in your life, and the tongue of many will be as long at the top as the "tongue" of a giant stretching into the valley. The maximum inclination on the device is as much as 36 degrees (before the renovation, due to which there was no event in 2014, it was even 38 degrees). And who is right course record? Turk Arslan Ahmet, who overtook the mountain giant uphill in 5 minutes and 2 seconds! Simon Alič, who won in 2013 with a time of 5:11, was also close to the record.
