The living library is a very special library where the "books" are people, and the event opens a dialogue about prejudices and stereotypes.
A living library, this time already in its fifth edition, takes place on Living yard on Gosposka Street in Maribor. Everything happens like in a real library. The individual becomes a member at the library desk, where he gets a library card. With the help of the book catalog, he then chooses "living book". Reading takes place in the reading room, in the form of a conversation with "living books" that fight prejudices and stereotypes. In this way, we expand our horizons, gain new insights into life, and meet real, living stories that enrich and teach us. The living library thus offers a space for dialogue about prejudices and stereotypes, and thereby also educates about values and human rights, which are the basis of respect and a human-friendly society.
