Alan Turing, portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch, was a British mathematician, cryptographer and long-unsung hero of World War 2 who cracked the code of the Nazi Enigma encryption machine. You can see the machine in the Museum of Recent History of Slovenia (during the premiere, especially in Kinodvor), while the film The Imitation Game can be seen in all Cineplexx, Kolosej and other smaller cinemas in Slovenia from January 22 onwards.
Imitation game is a cinematic portrait of an enigmatic genius Alan Turing, who remains the only enigma in this biographical drama. A complicated man with a brilliant mind, under great pressure with the "brain trust", a team of academics, linguists, secret agents and chess champions, succeeds decipher the code "unbreakable" of the German Enigma coding machine thereby saving thousands of lives and doing much of the work in ending WWII.
The pioneer of modern computing is today considered one of the greatest unsung Islanders, which Cumberbach, who will join him on screen, will try to gain some international recognition through numerous film awards and nominations Keira Knightley co-starring Joan Clarke, Matthew Goode, Rory Kinnear, Allen Leech, Matthew Beard, Charles Dance and Mark Strong.

And another note for history buffs. The Enigma encryption machine (the only example in Slovenia) will be at the premiere from 21.1. until February 4, 2015 exclusively for viewing in the Kinodvora gallery.
