Welcome to the Balkans. A Perfect Day is a film about a group of humanitarian workers who try to find some humor in the tragedy called the war in Bosnia in 1995. The film, signed by Fernando León de Aranoa, stars Benicio Del Toro and Tim Robbins. The duo is part of a team trying to bring a ray of hope to people who have been robbed of everything by the war in the Balkans. Still, they are not welcomed with open arms, and just finding a rope to lift a body from a well that threatens to contaminate the only source of drinking water is near mission impossible.
Full length film A Perfect Day (A Perfect day) had its premiere at this year's 68th Cannes Film Festival, but tells the bittersweet story of humanitarians, who want (somewhere in the Balkans) to save the only source of drinking water in the area, which is in danger of being contaminated the body in the well.
The action is set in the year 1995, when after the end of the war the corpses had not even cooled down well, but the small group consisting of Mumbrú (Benicio Del Toro), B (Tim Robbins), Sophie (Mélanie Thierry) and Katya (Olga Kurylenko) despite being surrounded by death, army, sadness, danger and hot emotions, they do not lack a sense of humor.
