The world is (too) full of garbage, and not only garbage that is in bins, garbage dumps and landfills, but also garbage that walks on two legs. And the film Smeti, which takes place in a favela in Rio de Janeiro, has both. It is a heroic story of two friends who work in the scrap yard, and the accidental discovery of a wallet, which can put the scumbag Jose Angel behind bars, sets them on a dangerous adventure.
Jose Angel it has nothing to do with an angel, as it is the embodiment of evil, which aims to achieve its goal - destruction wallets– ready to use all means. The film is literally permeated with dirt, as it takes place in the favela and on landfill, where the story also takes root, and they add poetic filth corrupt cops and power structures.

What is trash to one is treasure to another. When the boy Raphael and Garda they accidentally find a wallet while working on the scrap yard and when they local police offer for her real wealth, realize that they have hit a "golden vein".
