The cult psychological thriller The Thin Line of Death from 1990 will also get a remake this year. The story once again follows a group of students experimenting with procedures that result in near death. But this provokes dire consequences.
A group of five medical students decide to fight with an extremely dangerous experiment, to discover what happens after death. Each of them stops their heartbeat for a few minutes and thus experiences imminent death. Their research becomes dangerous as they have to deal with old sins and paranormal activity, which is connected with the transition to the afterlife.

They starred in the original film Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon and Kiefer Sutherland, who are also returning in the new film. In addition to them, younger names such as Ellen Page, Nina Dobrev and Diego Luna. He will direct the film Niels Arden Oblev, which is also behind the Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009), and is coming to the big screen in autumn.
