With yesterday's fashion shows of the brands Natasa Persuh, JANJA VIDEC, Ana Jelinič, Matic Veler and EBER krznarstvo, the Ljubljana Fashion Week began, which will last until Saturday, April 16. The winner of the "Design a white shirt" contest was also announced - Polona Roblek.
Natasa Peršuh, name of the collection: White Noise // Beli šum
"Similar to how a modern individual in his daily life accumulates a set of emotions and situations of the past and the present of modern everyday life, which in the end define him (he can become the star of his story or calm down in it), the collection combines different seasons, materials and design interventions that make it one and balance it artistically and commercially. It follows a uniform and strongly designed "bohemian bourgeois" French-inspired aesthetic, this time also in some men's designs."
JANJA VIDEC (Janja Videc), collection name: INNANA
"The collection was inspired by the myth of the Sumerian goddess Inanna and her journey to the underworld, where she meets seven gates, in front of each one she sheds part of her clothes and ends up naked, facing her dark sister, her shadow side. As a result, it is a birth into new ways of acting, through connection with one's body, with nature and with others. The latter is expressed in the collection through natural materials that support the natural balance of the body and the environment, minimalist lines and subtle details that, through the simple beauty of the clothes, emphasize the personality of the woman who wears these clothes and open up space for the expression of her true nature."

"The question of what really counts in life leads me to search for symbols for selected values, which I try to transfer to clothes. The collection is becoming more and more wearable and simple from complex pieces."
EBER KRZNARSTVO (Mateja Štimac), collection name: MIX & MATCH
"The EBER fur collection autumn-winter 2016/17 is based on the concept of patchwork. In order to achieve unique matches that would further emphasize the uniqueness of each piece in the collection, we mixed different colors and textures of the same or different types of fur; we also combined leather and fur and knitwear and fur.”

The purpose of the competition "Design a white shirt" under the direction of Pentlja Concept Store was to explore this diversity, the only condition was that the product is made only of white shirt cotton. Among the 21 shirts received, the expert committee is composed of photographer Peter Giodani, fashion designer Nataša Hrupič, stylist and editor Nina Jagodic, editor Dejan David Kemperl, B.Sc. and with. conf. those. Alenka More, fashion designer Peter Movrin, fashion designer and stylist Barbara Podlogar and Pentlja store owner and jewelry designer Goga Štiftar first selected 12 finalists whose creations could be seen at last night's show, they also selected the winner – Polona Roblek.
