Money is the ruler of the world. We can pretend that the connection of souls at sunrise and the sounds of the harp in a green clearing in the middle of the forest, where we are all equal, is more important than money, but let's face it: in the 21st century, we can't live without money practically nothing. We present you 10 tips on how to save at least 100 euros per month.
1. Turn off the lights and do not pour water unnecessarily.
As banal as it may sound and heard hundreds of times: when you leave the room, turn off the light. Even if it's just for half a minute. Turn off the faucet when you brush your teeth. Even if you are fast with your dental hygiene.
2. Take advantage of discounts, promotions and favorable opportunities.
Sites like Kuponko, Vsi kuponi and the like are really smart sites. Don't be disgraced, to book your vacation three times cheaper. Also, monitor advertising messages that otherwise annoyingly fill your inbox. For foods that are regularly on your shopping list, do a mini-research and only buy them where you know they are on sale for the cheapest. And no way don't be naive and don't reach for more expensive brands just because they have inscriptions in the sense of "eco-super-bio-fine-organic".

3. Cancel all unnecessary services: TV channels, three times overpaid mobile subscription...
Pay TV channels, which otherwise offer you many movies, are a completely unnecessary luxury. Let's be honest: we all know how to "download a torrent". If you find this morally objectionable or if you are a hipster at heart, then instead of these channels rather pay the membership fee at the nearest library and borrow DVDs there in a more "old-school" way. Also, look at what your actual monthly mobile usage is and do the math (it won't take you more than 2 hours on a rainy autumn afternoon): which super/mega/bombastic/fantastic package is actually worth having for you based on your usage.
4. Eat food prepared at home.
Stop eating out regularly (even if you have canteen discounts as an employee of a company and even if you are a student and can eat on vouchers). Food that you buy in a store and prepare yourself at home will be 1. cheaper and 2. in most cases ready to a healthier way like those in restaurants. And no excuses: you can also bring a snack from home. Believe me, your wallet will thank you (and so will your health).
5. Hold back and think carefully before making big purchases.
Don't jump headlong into big purchases (or any purchases at all). Answer questions such as: Do I really need this? What is the highest price I am willing to pay for this? What am I without it? Can I live a happy and full life even without another new shoes/car/computer/…?
6. Use public transport.
Avoid the car like a garlic vampire and don't be too picky about city buses. You may have to get up a few minutes earlier in the morning, but on the bus you can fill the time with reading (and thus do something for your personal growth) or simply "hang out" for a few more minutes. The environment will also thank you. And the wallet will be on the verge of tears of joy at this stage.
7. Cancel your gym membership and kill two birds with one stone.
If you want to be fit, you can be without an expensive gym membership. Call a friend and start with running in nature in good company (cheaper + good for your social life + stay fit). Start with the car instead to go to work by bicycle (cheaper + relaxing + you stay fit).
8. Record all your expenses and receipts regularly.
Every day in a special notebook (or on a computer, phone, iPad, iPhone, iWhatever) record every small expense and every receipt. Make a calculation at the end of the month and in the case of (God forbid) a negative situation, strictly and critically consider where you spent money unnecessarily. And then, of course, stop doing it.
9. Give up unhealthy habits and kill two birds with one stone again.
Stop smoking. Stop drinking. Stop buying yourself candy. Stop buying expensive clothes to get validation. Stop spending money on all the things that you they harm both psychologically, physically and financially.
10. Ask for a discount.
It may sound absurd, but when shopping, it's easy...ask for a discount. Believe me: you will be surprised how quickly and in what places you will pay less for what you bought than you really should. Our ancestors were truly wise people, so remember: "He who spars his tongue starves of bread."
