Você sabia que dá para conhecer as famosas dunas e lagoas do Parque Nacional dos Lençóis Maranhenses a pé? A grande travessia dos Lençóis is a journey of about 50 km made in three days, with overnight stays in two towns: Baixa Grande and Queimada dos Britos. An ideal time for a walk is between June and September, when the lagoons are open and there are countless stops to dive into the crystalline waters. To realize the walk, it is necessary to hire two accredited guides in the park. Besides its indisputable beauty, the crossing is an excellent chance to observe the fauna and flora of the park. E aí, você toparia essa aventura pelo interior da área protegida maranhense? In the northeast of Brazil is the Lencois Maranhenses, in which a shallow basin of impermeable rock is covered in some places by extensive sand dunes. We recommend that you visit it between March and September, because that's when the view is the most beautiful.

Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru

This valley connects the capital of Peru, Cusco, with the lost Inca city of Macchu Picchu. It is filled with a series of wonderful villages. Tourists' attention is mainly attracted by local markets.

San Blas Islands, Panama

If you are looking for paradise, then this archipelago is the right destination for you. It will amaze you with its unspoiled nature. The islands that can be reached from Panama or Cartagena are mostly uninhabited.

Chachapoyas, Peru

Made the crossing from Ecuador to Peru on Sunday with 2 other friends. It was a bit hard cause the crossing that we took is like the least taken, it goes through the mountains and we needed to change a lot from buses to colictivo's and back to buses... In the end of the day, we managed to reach a city called jaén! Slept there for one night and took some more collectivo's the next day to reach the city called chachapoyas! I must say, this place is pretty amazing, you hardly see any tourists, it's just all locals so you can really experience the great culture in and around the city. Today we went to some old ruins called kuélap which were made by the Chachapoyas people, a couple of hundred years before the Inca civilization started. Instead of cleaning the place and making it really tourist-attractive, they just let everything how it was so you were actually still able to see the catacombs where people were buried right underneath the family houses, it was thoroughly amazing to see. To reach this place, you needed to hike up a mountain or take the téléferico and hike only 20 minutes… guess what we did… This shot was taken looking outside the téléferico. #chachapoyas #peru #backpacking #teleferico #kuelap

If you want to avoid the crowds of tourists in Machu Picchu, Chachapoyas awaits you. Tucked away in one of the most remote areas of the Andes, the spectacular fortress offers an opportunity to explore Peruvian history.

Capurgana and Sapzurro, Colombia

These two idyllic towns lie in the Choco region along the Pacific Ocean. On Colombia's beaches, you can try your hand at scuba diving, while enjoying seafood and admiring jungle-covered mountains.

Cenotes, Mexico

A cenote is a karst cave that is mostly filled with water. Such caves are mainly found on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. You can even swim in them. We recommend that you also take time to explore the wilderness in Mexico. You will discover many animal species.

Cerro Verde National Park, El Salvador

You will have a unique experience in El Salvador. After climbing Santa Ana Volcano, you will be able to admire the crater lake. Then descend back to the foot of the mountain right on the board.

Angel's Falls, Venezuela

At 979 meters, Angel's waterfall is the highest waterfall in the world. It is found in the Canaima National Park and can only be reached by air, as other routes are very dangerous.

Cabo Polonio, Uruguay

This destination is still relatively hidden. It can only be reached with a 4 x 4 vehicle. Running water and electricity will not be available in the sandy area. This will be replaced by beautiful beaches and unusual animal species. There are especially many sea lions.
