Grossmann Festival of Fantastic Film and Wine 2016 in Bčiža. The beginnings of the film festival in Ljutomer date back to 2005. At that time, local film buffs and promoters of cultural events launched a film event in Ljutomer dedicated to the creator of the first Slovenian film, dr. Karol Grossmann. Also this year, between July 12 and 16, when the 12th Grossmann Fantastic Film and Wine Festival will take place, we are in for a film and wine, as well as a unique cultural treat.
Grossmann Festival of Fantastic Film and Wine 2016 promises us rich cultural events this year as well. The Ljutomer festival, which was created more than a decade ago in memory to the pioneer of Slovenian film Dr. Karol Grossmann, since 2010 belongs European Federation of Fantastic Film Festivals.
Every year, the selected film program is also accompanied by a rich one gastronomic event and of course visit of the authors of the films shown. In the past, among other things, the stars of the film industry have graced the festival with their arrival, such as, for example Christopher Lee, Franco Nero, Roger Corman, Udo Kier, Brian Yuzna, Djordje Kadijević, Trent Haag, Alex Chandon and others.

The film festival mainly focuses on fantastic, horror, cult and unusual films, who go beyond the seemingly defined boundaries of their genre. He also sanctifies himself home movies, which are often overlooked and pushed into a corner due to the consequences of a low budget. This year's film trailer promises us the following films: The Lesson (United Kingdom), Scherzo Diabolico (Mexico), Beyond the Gates (USA), Sensoria (Sweden), Attack of the Lederhosenzombies (Austria) and A witch (USA).
The confirmed guest of the event is a Styrian winemaker Nick Gee, who officially comes from New Zealand and founded a wine company in Slovenia in 2010 Heaps Good Wine Company. For music will be provided by the legend of the Balkan hip hop scene, Edo Maajka.
