It's interesting what can happen when two former rivals join forces. In this case, the dynamic duo 2Cellos was born, which grew from a YouTube sensation to a success story. Slovenian Luka Šulić and Croatian Stjepan Hauser, cellist and former rivals, joined forces and made a unique performance of Michael Jackson's famous composition Smooth Criminal, and this at a time when his music was experiencing a resurgence and found itself again on the music charts and in the hearts of his fans. The rest, as they say, is history. In just a few weeks, the video became a global hit, watched by more than five million users around the world. They were noticed by people in the right places and a sensation was born that we call 2Cellos. They recently completed their studies: Luka at the world-famous Royal Academy of Music in London, Stjepan at the Royal College in Manchester. Last year, they released an album where, with the magic of their foreheads, they arranged the hits of bands we all love, such as U2, Guns N' Roses, Nine Inch Nails, Sting, Coldplay, Nirvana, Muse, Kings of Leon and many others. They are enjoying great success in the United States. Last spring, they were hosted by Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show, and the day before, Perez Hilton, a well-known blogger and television personality. Elton John also stood up for their career. They warmed up the audience before his concert in Stožice. Now the two boys will perform at a solo concert in Maribor as well. We will hear their interpretations of hits such as Where The Streets Have No Name, Use Somebody, Fragile, Welcome to the Jungle, Smells Like Teen Spirit and many others.
