We are quite used to unique and almost alien motorcycles in our section. And we could even say that nothing can surprise us anymore. Maybe we counted ourselves and found something outstanding again?
Some converted motorcycles could be said to have interesting shapes and are otherwise nothing special. Jack Watkins and his team at Moto Spec had a different idea and wanted to create something that would also be among the modified motorcycles stood out. They set themselves a challenging task - to transform a motorcycle M001 BMW R 1150 RT to the extent that it will almost unrecognizable.
The result speaks for itself, because it is BMW R1150 RT 'M001' truly something special and works like artistic sculpture despite complicated engineering. More than 100 components of the motorcycle had to be entered into the computer program CAD, before they were ready for use. Unique the front suspension is a fruit Jack's deep thinking and a pair of dampers salvaged from two written off Moto Guzzi V7.
The suspension is less of a problem compared to frame of a motorcycle ‒ only this was fully subjected 3D scanning, that after careful consideration they could cut and finish two large pieces of steel.
16 liter the fuel tank is located under the rear suspension and is covered by polycarbonate, which has the engine mounted taillights and license plate.
Just about every piece of a motorcycle BMW R1150 RT 'M001' it is manually work Watkins, and with this he managed to do something truly unique, because at first glance difficult we say, where is the front and where is the rear part of the motorcycle.
