For as long as we can remember, Ducati sports motorcycles have been known for their V-twin engine, ultra-lightweight chassis and great power. Anyway, that's history now because everything will be different from today. Namely, Ducati presents the new Ducati Panigale V4 supersport motorcycle, which is also the first mass-produced Ducati to have a 4-cylinder engine.
Ducati Panigale V4 it has a brand new engine. Desmosedici Stradale V4 90° has 1,103 cubic centimeters of volume, mighty 214 horsepower and 124 Nm of torque. You can even come up with a variation Specials, which is equipped with Akrapovic exhaust system made from titanium. For the sake of the exhaust system, the Speciale version has a car 226 horsepower. Despite the two extra cylinders, it remains a Panigale very light motorcycle. Weights only 175 kilograms, which is not surprising with all the use of carbon, titanium and other light alloys. The power-to-weight ratio of a motorcycle is 1.1 horsepower per kilogram, the highest in the automotive world achieved only by the most exotic supercars.
The Ducati Panigale V4 replaces the current and now iconic motorcycle Ducati 1299. The newcomer is thus expected to offer the same amount of madness on two wheels as its predecessor did. It won't exactly be for beginners, because it takes such power to master it quite a bit of experience. The Ducati Panigale V4 was only developed on the track and behaves accordingly. Ducati certainly met all expectations and in 2018 it will be difficult to find a motorcycle that would be so desirable and would excite us as much.
