Sometimes I am overcome by such nostalgia, nostalgia for the times when I was not there at all. I look at photos of the 'golden age' of Hollywood and the European productions of that time, I listen to French chansons and Italian canzones. I flip through old fashion magazines and wonder. Where did all this beauty go, this pure beauty that didn't need futuristic accessories and an abundance of makeup, but was still so very present? Where was their secret (besides good stylists and makeup artists)? Was it simply less stressful for them?
It will probably be true that it does beauty hides somewhere inside and shines through us. It seems to me that today despite increasing awareness and eye opening we still don't know enough and so we try to satisfy sometimes really impossible standards in various areas that lead us away from them instead of into satisfaction and happiness. These are the things I think about every spring, when I feel that I am with nature they also awaken the body and spirit, and when I say to myself that now is really the time to fulfill all those New Year's resolutions. I hope you are on a better path yourself.
